Passo Pordoi
From Arabba, starting from the cable car Portavescovo, take the path that goes to the Pordoipass follows the stream Cordevole. At the hamlet of Pont de Vauz (to the chair lift), cross the road and continue along the path through some fields and where it is often possible to see the cows. You then come to a shelter where you can observe marmots and with a little ‘patience, you will see them running from one hole to another, whistling to warn their companions.
From the refuge continues to the Pordoi, going up the slope. Once you arrive at the top of the Pass should visit the little chapel at the foot of Sass Becè. Also recommended a visit to the Fallen ossuary of war that is about 1 km. from the top of the pass, taking the paved road behind the Refreshment Mary.
To return to Arabba you can make an alternative route, taking the path CAI. 680 that goes to Portavescovo, through the Refreshment Lezuo and along the north side of the ridge. It ‘an easy path and often frequented by mountain bikers. When the path crosses the dirt road that leads to Portavescovo, turn left and go down to the main road. So back to the Pont de Vauz, you fall through the narrow road leg.
